Vintage · film-leader-marquee opening

Premiere

An art-deco picture palace at night; a 3-2-1 film leader rolls, then the marquee bursts into light with your names on the letterboard.

A vintage cinema premiere in black lacquer, brushed gold and red velvet. Before the tap, an art-deco picture palace stands dark under a starry sky: unlit marquee bulbs, a crown sign, your names spelled out on the letterboard and a red admit-one ticket waiting at the box office. One tap tears the stub, the ticket flies at the camera and the house goes dark; a scratched film leader counts down 3, 2, 1 with a sweeping hand, a projector flash, and then every bulb flickers on, the sign glows neon and searchlights sweep the sky. Inside: a feature title card and a typewritten screenplay page, the families in rolling credits, a film-strip countdown, a clapperboard you can snap, every event printed as a colour admission ticket with calendar, directions and dress code, a box-office RSVP that prints your ticket, and an iris-out to The End.
