Bordeaux

A glass cloche lifts from an enchanted rose in a candlelit velvet alcove.

A wine-dark velvet room, a gilded alcove and one red rose floating beneath a glass cloche, sealed with wine-red wax. A guest taps, the seal cracks, the dome rises out of the frame and the rose unfurls as the candles flare and gold sparks drift through the dark. Inside: a letter on laid paper, families on château wine labels, a countdown in a gilt-framed velvet panel, every event as a vintage label, a glass of Bordeaux you pour yourself, and a farewell by candlelight.
