Strawberries & Champagne

A silk ribbon slips its knot on a letterpress card laid on white linen, beside cut crystal heaped with strawberries and two coupes of champagne.

A garden-party birthday invitation photographed from above: fine white linen with a broderie-anglaise hem, a cut-crystal bowl of glossy strawberries, champagne coupes catching the sun, a sage linen napkin with an embroidered initial and a sterling fork, all under soft leaf shadows that drift in the breeze. The name is letterpressed on a deckle-edged cotton card tied with oxblood silk. One tap and the bow draws through its knot, the ribbon slides away across the linen, the card lifts and its cover swings open as the sun comes out, revealing a blind-embossed crest and the details. Inside: a note from the hosts, a countdown engraved on a sterling salver, a drop-a-strawberry-into-champagne toy, the order of the day on cotton cards and a letterpress reply card.
