Olive Grove

Weathered villa shutters swing open onto a Tuscan olive grove.

Morning light slips through the louvres of a pair of sage-painted shutters set in a travertine window. Guests lift the iron latch; the shutters swing out, the room floods with daylight and the camera steps through the window into rolling Tuscan hills, cypress lanes and silver-green olive rows. Inside: a carved travertine countdown, a programme laid out along the path through the grove, a branch guests shake to harvest olives into a terracotta bowl, and a dusk farewell over the hills.
